The product will be the PCI complement to the current ISA based DIALOG/4 and/or D/41H board. It is positioned as a business series product and will be focused at those customers currently using the ISA version products. The D4PCI is a 4-port voice board in a half size PCI form factor facilitating the use of smaller less expensive pc chassis. The D/4PCI will not be backward compatible to its ISA partners. There will be new software installation and configuration issues with this card that will take advantage of its PCI connector. The D/4PCI feature set is the same as the D/41H in terms of springware capability. There will be initial differences in operating system support and international approvals. It is a domestic as well as international card. There will be a Euro version of the board which will comply with CTR21 thereby offering support in the 18 pan-European countries. The D/4PCI is ideal for the SMB (small and medium business) as well as the enterprise market. Its low cost and smaller form factor enables it to be used in situations where price is an issue. Typical applications would be 2-12 line messaging auto attendant or interactive voice response. These are the target applications of our larger OEM’s as well as some VAR’s looking to penetrate the CT market. *****ATTENTION***** Please note that as of April 10th, 2006, Intel has discontinued the production of the D4PCI and D4PCIU, which have been superseded by the D4PCIUF. This is a Universal PCI form-factor 4 port analog trunk board with 4 on-board fax resources. The UF is backward compatible with the U but NOT with the D4PCI. U and UF require Feature Pack 1 or the latest Service Update. Your Software may NOT be compatible. Please verify compatibility with your application provider before placing your order.
