Is Your Organization Ready for IP Today?
Wave is IP at its core. When configured as a pure IP solution, Wave’s
integrated SIP server and native gateway resources provide a complete,
standards-based IP telephony infrastructure for next-generation SIP
applications and network services. Wave supports Vertical SIP IP
endpoints, SIP-based PBX and applications networking, SIP trunking and
IP-based remote administration.
Need to Migrate to a Pure IP Environment?
Wave includes robust voice gateway capabilities that let you migrate to
next-generation IP communications services on your own timeline. Wave
supports traditional voice trunk interfaces, including analog trunks, T1
and PRI-ISDN with built-in CSU/DSU functionality and V.35 access with
powerful diagnostics. Wave also supports a full range of IP Codecs as
well as SIP trunking services for maximum flexibility.
Supports Broad Array of Phones
Wave supports many combinations of wired and wireless SIP phones,
including soft phone clients and digital telephones, as well as analog
endpoints. Wave takes full advantage of both the advanced feature set
and cost savings of the family of Vertical IP phones. To help protect
your telephone investment, Wave supports many Comdial® Impact Classic
digital phones as well as many Vodavi®-branded digital phones.
Wave Grows With You
Wave provides exceptional expansion capabilities and investment
protection as your organization grows and prospers. The base Wave IP
2500 system supports up to 350 IP endpoints or a combination of up to 60
digital and analog end-users.
To expand a base Wave IP 2500 system to support more digital or analog
trunks/stations, simply add innovative Wave Expansion Units (EXUs) which
stack neatly on to the Wave IP 2500 server. No external cabling or
additional hardware configuration is required. Each EXU supports up to
48 additional digital or analog users or additional trunk capacity.
As your business grows, your Vertical Wave system can grow gracefully
along with it, satisfying your future needs and protecting your
communications infrastructure investment. Wave’s multi-site capabilities
feature robust networking and IP-based management of multiple site
deployments, enabling network administrators to efficiently manage
moves, adds and changes, configure voice features and applications
between workgroups and across locations, as well as leverage SNMP-based
alarms and trace applications to notify, diagnose and troubleshoot
almost any issue.
TeleVantage Vs. WaveIP - Why Switch?
Cost
Vertical certainly wants you to switch to increase the number of users on their new system. They
have agreed to substitute Wave for your existing TV licenses 1:1 and
sell you the hardware for half-price provided you have a software
subscription. They have also asked us to create a program to allow you
to trade-in your existing hardware against the cost of the new hardware
to further reduce your upgrade costs. We have agreed to buy-back
reasonably resellable hardware and will quote the credit amount on a
customer-by-customer basis. This could reduce your upgrade costs to 10%
the cost of a new Wave system. THAT is quite a deal.
Viewpoint
Every user gets Viewpoint. It is not “individually
licensed” on Wave. It is bundled with the “User” license. Because Wave
is written in .Net, the viewpoint is much faster than TeleVantage.
Instant Messaging and IP SoftPhone
Both IM and an IP SoftPhone are integrated into
Version 2.0 Wave Viewpoint. You can make and receive calls from your PC
while on the run even if your cell was left in your bag or lost.
Try Before you Buy Licensing
The new Wave Licensing includes a “Try Before You
Buy” feature that allows you to download and enable a new app for 30
days before you have to decide whether it’s worth purchasing.
Application and Advanced Feature Development (Future Proofing)
Because Wave is developed on Microsoft .Net and
Vertical is moving forward with an “App Store” for Wave, you will begin
to see applications available from third parties that can significantly
enhance your use of the system. True Data is currently developing our
own Visual Voicemail and Management Application in ObjectiveC and Java
for use on the iPhone and Android. We’re also in development of a
one-way video app for sales and customer service that will allow your
customers to see and hear your sales folks, live on your web site,
during web-to-call-center sales and support calls. We feel
strongly that a live video presence can significantly increase your
web-to-sale conversion. If you, for your industry or particular business
could use an application tying your phone system to your users’ cell
phones, it’s a pretty easy task when developing to .Net. Furthermore,
with Vertical controlling both the hardware and drivers, the roadblocks
to adding Video-Over-IP and HD Voice have been virtually removed. This
means that, like the early 2000’s TeleVantage addition of VoIP and
Advanced Call Center features that were simply a minimal licensing fee
and possibly a new card or HMP Software, new features of Wave will
simply appear and work rather than the conventional Phone System “norm”
of buy a new box and hang-it-off the switch or worse, requiring what we
call a “fork-lift” implementation. Out with ALL the old and in with ALL
the new. All at your expense with minimal discounts or “deals. That’s
what Vertical strives to avoid: Forklifts, lots of work, and lots of
cost (to you)
